Arvind Mehta, Founding Partner

Arvind is the Managing Partner at Ducat Capital Partners. He is responsible for identifying substantial value creation opportunities for Ducat’s potential investors.

Arvind earned an MBA from IPM, India and holds certifications in various business and technology executive education programs from some of the renowned universities like The Wharton School, MIT, University of California, University of Maryland and University of Melbourne. Arvind’s industry experience spans over 20 years and encompasses his roles as technology entrepreneur and later an investment banker.

In his role as an investment banker, Arvind worked as a Managing Director at Xnergy Financial. He led the investment banking practice for technology, manufacturing and logistics & distribution industries. His expertise traverses across various areas of corporate finance, investment banking and capital markets including equity & debt capital raise, M&A, private placements, PIPE transactions, deal structuring and business restructuring & turnaround for middle-market companies. Arvind also holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.

As a technology entrepreneur, Arvind served as the President & CEO at Touchstone ITS, a management consulting and IT services firm and later as CEO at ThingsConnect IoT, a SaaS based digital transformation company primarily focused on supply chain, asset intensive industries and building smart factories.

Richard Goodwin, Operating Partner

Dr. Goodwin holds a Masters and a PhD in Industrial & Organizational Psychology. Dr. Godwin’s over 30 years experience includes his roles as strategy consulting advisor with PwC and KPMG advising clients on creating value through business transformation and spin-offs, and as a COO with Fybr, a smart city – IoT company.

Dr. Goodwin has an extensive track record leading large-scale transformational change programs – from Fortune 5 companies to start-ups. By vocation and avocation he maintains a lifelong focus on innovative process and technology development and integration and has applied his skills across multiple industries and clients.

His most recent roles have been in the development and commercialization of intellectual property capabilities for the aerospace and defense and industrial products markets as Chief Operating Officer at Fybr and President of FutureWorks Group. Dr. Goodwin has demonstrated success driving pragmatic business results and creating business differentiators critical to growth, business development, and expansion of client base and revenue. His expertise includes product innovation, business transformation, change management and corporate strategy development.

Gary Cokins, Operating Partner

Mr. Cokins is a world renowned authority on Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). Mr. Cokins has an extensive and successful track record as an author, practitioner and coach to some of the largest corporations in the US.

His 40+ years of professional experience includes his roles as COO & controller with FMC LinkBelt Corporation, as Sr. Manager of Strategy Planning with Deloitte, as Sr. Manager- Management Consulting with KPMG, Director of Global Cost Management with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and EPM Specialist and Coach with SaS Institute.

Mr. Cokins has authored over 15 books on EPM and corporate performance management, activity based costing, predictive business analytics, CIO best practices, value based management, budgeting, forecasting & planning and supply chain costing & performance management.

Stephen Cotugno, Operating Partner

Steve is a Fordham University graduate and holds a degree in Finance & Economics. Steve brings over 25 years of extensive experience in investment banking, corporate development, CFO and transaction advisory.

Steve’s experience includes his role as CFO with PDI, a $750MM pharmaceuticals sales and marketing company. He lead the IPO of PDI and managed the end-to-end going public transaction. He currently works with Transaction Advisory division of RSM US LP, one of the top audit, tax, financial consulting, risk management and transaction advisory services companies.

 

Amit Misra, Senior Analyst

Amit is a holds an MBA from College of William & Mary- VA and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He also earned Chartered Accountant degree from ICAI of India

Amit brings in 10+ years of valuable industry experience that encompasses his current role as a Corporate Finance & Treasury Analyst with Citi where his role primarily focuses on Interest rate and currency derivatives analysis with focus on currency hedging and application of US GAAP – ASC 815, macroeconomic analysis, concentration risk, credit risk, cash flow risk, interest rate analysis, counter party risk assessment, debt valuation modeling, market and statistical analysis with major investment banks, Treasury presentations, Risk Management Policy review with periodic budget cash flow forecasting, streamlining treasury operations in collaboration with higher management.

Before Citi, Amit worked as a Sr Equity Analyst with Warner Media Group and CVS Pharmacy, Thomson & Reuters. His responsibilities in his previous roles included financial modeling & analysis, valuation & risk analysis advisory of SEC registered entities operating in Oil & Gas, Airlines, Healthcare, Financial Services and Information Technology industries, valuations, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting of retail structures across US, strategy consulting for aerospace industry and operations implementing control in parent and subsidiaries.
